About this home
A rare ocean-view lot in the Carmel Highlands on coveted Spindrift Road! This 0.36-acre surveyed and staked parcel offers an opportunity to create a coastal retreat on a gently sloped site, suitable for a thoughtfully designed residence with ocean views and sunsets, subject to approvals. Mature and newly planted trees provide privacy and natural screening from Highway 1. Both neighboring homes are undergoing substantial renovations, contributing to a peaceful setting. Residents enjoy keyed access to a secluded private beach just a short stroll away, and homes along Spindrift Road have appeared in films such as Basic Instinct and HBO's Big Little Lies. The property does not currently have a water meter due to a longstanding moratorium. Buyers may consider two potential paths: (1) holding the property while regional efforts continue, with recent developments signaling progress toward possible future meter availability; (2) exploring a private well, as a neighboring property has successfully done, pending permits, testing, and approvals. There is an opportunity to purchase a neighboring lot; inquire for details.
